US Coral Reef Task Force Members and Participants: please join us on a Special Reef Cleaning Sailing Trip to benefit the West Maui Kumuwai Campaign on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
A local Maui company, Trilogy Sailing Charters, hosts a Blue`Aina campaign, which brings local residents and visitors out on their sailing catamarans to cleanup and maintain Maui's reefs, educate the community, and raise money for non-profits. In total Trilogy has raised funds for more than 80 local organizations through this program. Come join us as we partner with Trilogy & The Surfrider Foundation to reach their goal of cleaning 12 reefs in 12 months. We will be enjoying a morning snorkel at some of the largest reefs on Maui's West side, picking up marine debris, and benefiting a great West Maui organization - the West Maui Kumuwai campaign, which provides methods for everyday citizens of West Maui to take action to improve our ocean health. (http://westmauikumuwai.org/) Members of the Campaign Team will be on-board to provide more information and answer questions. Cost: $25 donation (100% will go to the WM Kumuwai Campaign) Date: Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 9am - 12:00 pm Transportation: there is a $1 shuttle to Lahaina (take 8am shuttle from Whalers Village located next to the Westin) Lunch & Refreshments are provided Space is limited: Please reserve your spot early!
